For an industry where timing is everything, watch manufacturers waste none of it when it comes to releasing new products for the new year. As the new year begins, that trickle grows to a torrent that leads to the annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) luxury timepieces trade show in Geneva.
Several products have already been previewed on this website, including those from Cartier, Piaget and Montblanc. These companies and others will unveil many more pieces during the fair at the Palexpo convention centre.

The IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition 150 Years
IWC Schaffhausen is turning 150 this year and to celebrate the company is set to unveil a special Jubilee watch collection at SIHH comprising a total of 27 limited-edition models from the Portugieser, Portofino, Pilot’s Watches and Da Vinci families. The one aesthetic element all these timepieces share is their imprinted dial in white or blue heritage enamel dials, an effect achieved by applying several layers of lacquer.
In addition, the luxury watch brand is launching its first wristwatch to feature the original digital hours and minute display as it appeared on the Pallweber pocket watches back in 1884. The “IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition 150 Years” shows the hours and minutes in large numerals on rotating discs.

Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military
The Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military is a direct descendant of the pocket chronometers prized by sea captains of 19th or beginning of the 20th century redesigned for a modern era. It is available in a white or black dial. Both models have an oversized crown, 44 mm case with a steel sand-blasted finish, are water-resistant to 50 meters, and stamped on the back with the distinctive torpedo boat. It is powered by the UN-118 in-house automatic movement featuring Ulysse Nardin’s proprietary silicon anchor escapement.
