For over a decade now, the Octo has become the iconic watch collection of the brand, known for its fine and refined jewelry creations but also for some unique watchmaking outcomes. Now, the Bulgari Octo Roma timepiece joins the actual Octo collection.
According to Bulgari, the fifth main pillar of its Octo family, the other four being the original three-hand Octo, including the all-black Ultranero models; the Octo Velocissimo chronographs; the ultra-thin Finissimo models, including last year’s Finissimo Skeleton; and the record-setting slim horological complications such as the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater.

For 2017, Bulgari joins a new essence to its successful Octo watch collection with the new Octo Roma.
Despite having a new case and dial, the magic Bulgari desired to present to the Octo Roma was that it seem as if it was part of the Octo collection all along.

Again, the variations are subtle but crucial to guaranteeing the Octo Roma feels like an Octo but looks as good as desirable in its own skin. Such design refinement helps explain many of the most elegant high-end watches out there, but this is almost clear in the wearing experience for most users who aren’t prepared in the nuances of analog watch design.
Bulgari also uses the Octo Roma collection to launch a new brown dial color. Similar to the blue they offer, the brown dials are designed in-house and done using a careful multi-layer lacquer varnish way related to how car body panels are painted, but in a more small and precise manner. The warm metallic brown dials offered on Octo Roma watches are offered in the steel case, as well as looking very fitting in the 18k pink gold case.
