The creative director of the luxury brand Yves Saint Laurent, Hedi Slimane surely knows how to make shopping, even more innovative and fun. For this festive season, she has designed gold slot machines to selected stores to raking up the interest of the shoppers.
The new gilded, illuminated display will display some of the brand’s classic pieces this holiday season, including favorites like the Baby College Monogram Bag in black, prairie or camouflage, and a pair of its Wyatt 40 fringe ankle boots in tan suede or black leather.

The ostentatious installations are slightly incongruous with the maison’s more low-key approach to glamorous clothing and gallery-like store layouts. They’re also probably not recommended if you dislike shopping under the fixed stare of sales associates, let alone flashing lights and sirens. But it’s the season, and one thing you are guaranteed is a great Instagram video.
Conceived to take the high-fashion bets in the most glamorous style, the slot machines are already up at Beverly Hills, Los Angeles store along with Greene St. outlet in New York. Outside America, it is grabbing shoppers’ interest at the maison’s new boutique in Tokyo and at Montaigne store as well as at Faubourg Saint Honore stores in Paris. Finally, on the last 9 of December, London’s Bond Street store welcomed the ritzy-glitzy installation.
